Math II: Investigation 3 Quiz--Retake

Students had to see me today during BCO if they wanted to retake the quiz.  They didn't have to finish it, but they had to show some initiative and ask for a retake.

I have graded 4 retakes and entered them (pro-rated) into Infinite Campus.  I have 3 others who need more time.

Found this note on my desk after-school-- CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!

In Class Today...

Science:

We brainstormed projects for the next Fed Ex Day in the computer lab.  A lot of students are going to put a Halloween spin to their project since presentations are on October 25 and 26.


Writing:

I told the students that their Wordstudy Packets aren't up to snuff and that I expect better.  I gave them time to work on their rough drafts which are due tomorrow.


Math I:

We did a review for tomorrow's Investigation 3 quiz.

Math II:

We started in on Investigation 4.

 

In groups students  tried to find the longest factor string.  A few groups figured it out--  2 X 2 X 5 X 5

Individually, then in group we tried to find as many factor strings as we could.  We shared out.  Only one group was able to find the longest string on the board....   7 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 2 x 2 x 5

We gthen tried to see if there was any relationship between 2-number, 3-number, 4-number and 5-number factor strings....but we ran out of time.

 

My Weekend...

Tristan and I went up to Indian Lake on Friday.  Went fishing in the morning, met up with Momma, Brooklyn, and Cooper afterwards. Then we all went to the Indian Lake Fall Festival, watched the OSU game, and then fished some more Sunday morning.

After fishing, we went to the Fall Festival at the Indian Lake Campgrounds
