Congrats to the Green Team: Sophia, Jake, David, Autumn. This victory counts as 2!
Most Team Victories on the Year...
Every year since 2004 I have put students in collaborative groups. Each group has a leader, a scorekeeper, and a monitor. Groups compete with each other for points and point cards. Every week there is a winner and teams are reshuffled.
I have tracked students for the past 9 years.
I have a Hall of Fame in the back of my room. To make my Hall-of-Fame you had to have 10 wins in one year.
So far these are the tops in my class:
Sam: 10, Lilly: 9, Veronica: 9, and Jake: 9.
There are 28 students in the Hall-of-Fame, that's an average of 3 students a year. This year there isn't much parity. I have 1 already in and 3 more knocking on the door.
Most wins ever? 13. Bradley Trejo in 2005, and Connor Lewis in 2010.
Dirt Bike Proportions...
Love this game!! It is a great way to sharpen your proportion skills. The cool thing about it is that you play against other people. This weekend try and log-on and play a bit. Create a private game and then text you friends to join you.

Math Resiliency Question...
Only one person was able to get this right- Aaron, but I felt like there was MUCH better participation this week. Thank you.
Terra Nova Tests are Over!!....
1-week since the Bobby Knighting and here are the results...
- Our mean Science Test was 86%
- Our mean Wordstudy Test was 84%
- We had a decrease in missing work and a huge increase of people who legitimately tried the resiliency problem.
- Invention Convention supplies flooded in this week.
I think things are starting to turn around. :)
Batteries Came in the Mail this Week...
