Papa Johns Pizza Night!!!
The next two days are Papa John's Fundraising Days.  For every student who brings in a receipt from Papa Johns the school gets 20% of the total.  Also, the class with the highest amount of sales gets a pizza party.

C'mon guys, we gotta get this!!

My Weekend....
Tristan had his last game in the Elevate Fall League.  We then went to Indian Lake.  We really like Indian Lake in October.

The 2 coaches on the ends (orange) played at Citadel and are the Top 2 3-point shooters in school history (#1 is the guy on the right).  The coach on the left dropped 17 points on Kalin Lucas and Michigan State a few years ago.

Papaw telling a ghost story.

Google Chrome Accounts....
Okay, so we have the capability to use our Google Chrome accounts, but the district isn't mandating it until next year. So, I've had ZERO training on this, yet like a kid with a new toy I don't feel like using the instruction manual.

Who cares,  we'll learn Google Drive together. That way, you'll have the edge over all the other middle school kids next year.

PBL Volunteers....
Wednesday and Thursday are our PBL presentations.  As with all things PBL, one of its key components is 'Public Presentation'.  Let me give you all a brief run down on how this is going to work.

There are 2 classes, one from 12:55 - 1:45, and the other from 1:50- 2:30.

3 groups will go each class.  All the parents will be sitting at a table I have set up in the back of the room.  When a group is called up they will come up to the front, hand me something, and then present to all of you their Mineral Identification Kit.  The presentation itself is quite simple, they will show us the kit, identify everything inside of it, and tell us what it's used for.  They will then bring the box to you in the back and will have 3 minutes to show you how to use it through modeling by identifying a rock I give them.  You will then be given 3 rocks @ random to identify.  You will use their kit, and collaboration with your fellow volunteers to identify the minerals. Yes, part of their grade relies on you.  :)

Thank you so much for volunteering!!

Here's the volunteer list I have, please contyact me if you can not make it or if I forgot you.

Wednesday:  Estep, Ritter, Gilbert, Blakey, Stoll, Kane
Thursday: Villines, Sampson, Grimm, Stoll
