After our Science quizzes today, we had a mini-lab on capillary action.  Here are some pictures:

Capillary action is how florists are able to dye flowers.  Here is an example of the process:

Fun Fact: Albert Einstein wrote his first paper on Capillary Action.

My question is, using capillary action can you make a flower look like this...

For extra credit--- if anyone can do the research on how to do this and THEN DO IT, I will give you 10 extra-credit points. 

• It doesn't have to be rainbow, but it must be at least 3 different colors of your choosing.

• You don't have to write anything, you just have to do the research to find out how to do it and then do it.  Then bring in one of your flowers to class.

• You have until Monday, December 16th to do it.
