To the students (present and past), parents, and educators who follow the blog..
It really pains me to say it but the blog's 3-year run has ended. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time anymore, or I should say-- it's not a priority. As a teacher I need to adjust to what is asked of me, which is to streamline things more to the OAAs (next year the CORE) so students can score the highest score possible on the test. Mostly, I need to put more focus on the type of questions they will see on the test, which is why the Weekly Critical Times and Resiliency questions are also being discontinued.
Class will still be loads of fun. We will still do PBL's (but in Science only). We will still work collaboratively. We will still be inquisitive, innovative, and creative when we can. I just need to sharply narrow our focus, and when things like that happen, well, other things have to go.
In addition I will be adding a daily OAA problem to Math, and all formative assessments will be geared to OAA standards as opposed to CORE standards.
Please note that I will be updating the tabs occassionally. The tabs are as follows...
- Science Notes
- Links
- Listing Folder
- Invention Convention
- PBL
Thanks for understanding,
Mr. Morgan
PS: The new Science PBL is up (look in the PBL tab up top)
