Alana and Arica's Tri-Board..
I have seen probably thousands of Invention Convention Tri-Boards in my 14 years of teaching 6th graders. This one is easily the most functional in regards to showing off (selling) their invention.
Context: Alana and Arica invented a device that will house your smartphone in the shower. You just slide it in a case that is suction-cupped to the shower wall, put the sealed top on, and you can play music, watch video, take phone calls; etc. while you shower. It's completely functional too because you can still USE your phone while it's in it's case.
What better way to prove it's functionality to judges than to build a SHOWER into your tri-board. Check this out:
