Lab on Mining for Limestone..Students had to tape together blocks (limestone), put them in a tub and cover with sand. Groups then exchanged tubs. Using the same techniques mining companies have to use, groups tried to find the volume of limestone (blocks) buried in the tub. They were surprising accurate.
