WEAR ORANGE TOMORROW!!!
Tomorrow are the student council speeches and Sophia is nominated for Student Council Secretary. Part of her campaign is the color orange. All of her signs are orange and we are trying to get the whole class to wear orange tomorrow as a sign of solidarity.

ALS Walk
Tomorrow from 2:00 - 2:30 students will be doing a walk for ALS. All students should wear comfortable walking shoes.

No Fed Ex Day Tomorrow
Due to Student Council Speeches taking up our Science time, we will not be having Science tomorrow.
Mrs. Schall you don't have to worry about coming in, but how about Monday? I reserved the computer lab and the students are going to look for cool projects to do.
Math II Quizzes Graded and Posted on Infinite Campus
So, I said I was going to spice this one up, and I did. Unfortunately, I juked too many students out of their shoes.
Mind you, the scores were good by just about any standard, but I have a feeling that this year's group is special.....Anyhow, here's the breakdown:
100%-ers: Kurt, Kaitlyn, Connor, Miah, Darshan, Sophia, Calista, Fiona, Leah, Andrew, Veronica
A's: 12, B's: 9, C's: 4, D's: 2, F's: 2
Mean: 227/261 87%
I think for the C's and above, that there was a fatigue issue. I saw a lot of easy misses. They did the problem correctly, but missed a factor, or factored the wrong number, or something simple. It took the better part of 2 50-minute classes to complete, so I understand.
Retakes (for C's and under only) are on Monday during BCO. I gave them a review sheet to work on that should help them.
Math II Resiliency Question
I thought it was easy. In fact, I thought I made it TOO EASY. I was wrong. Only 3 students got it: Grace, Kurt, and Aaron.
Here's the question and the solution...

Solution:
Student Papers....
Science:
We took notes on the Rock Cycle and drew a picture of it using crayons to color-code the processes. The picture is due tomorrow (most everyone finished it in BCO).
Here's a Rock Cycle game:

I'll give 200-points to anyone who can take a picture or a screen shot of a perfect 10/10 score.
A few pictures of the Rock Cycle...
Math I:
We worked on problems like below in groups, partners and individually...
The biggest challenge has been figuring out whether or not we need to find the LCM or the GCF.
Math II:
We went over the resiliency question, and then we went through each and every quiz question thoroughly. Students who did well then worked on challeging questions (on red and blue cards) while those who want to take a retake worked on the review.
100-point Clue
Here is a 60X zoom on an object that is in the room. However, this object is not a typical one. It is MUCH MUCH bigger than the typical. Look there for your 100-point cards.
