In Class Today...

Science:
Took the Chapter 9:  Rocks and Minerals Test.

Writing:
Went to computer lab, finished and turned in Final Copies of Descriptive Journals.

Math I:
Yesterday, I promised them all cookies if they could get certain problems right and then someone could sink a shot (mini-basketball and a trashcan) from across the room.  They got the questions correct, and Bryan made the shot.

I also managed to teach math.  We worked on finding the GCF and LCM of 2 numbers, by prime factoring and then putting those prime factors into a venn diagram.

It's hard for me to articulate it through writing-- here is my powerpoint:

Math II:
We solved a reasoning question as an appetizer.  We then did some extension questions from Investigation 5: The Locker Problem.   I plan on reviewing some for the test (which I moved to Monday) tomorrow.

100-point Clue....
There is a company from Dayton, Ohio that has been very successful.  They've been around since 1846, but didn't go by their current name until 1882.  They pulled in over $6 billion last year alone.  There products are in just about every school in the world.  Anyway....look for a product by them that is blue and prominantly sitting out in my class.
