Wordstudy List #11  Quia Games....

Words of Wisdom....

So, every week my Writing students have to complete a Wordstudy packet in order to learn their words for the test.  Well, one of the things they have to do in the packet is fill in the missing word to a pre-fabricated sentence.

Last week a few kids rushed through and didn't think I'd notice.

So, I'd like to publish some of these thought-provoking sentences.... The red font is where the blank was, and I would like to note that there is no wordstudy word called 'pictursav', 'sizer' (which I'm pretty sure aren't even words) and 'fraction' (which, indeed, is a word, just not one on our list).

Mr. Morgan's Class:  Words to Live By:

“It is a great feature to sit on a moisture seat…”

“The biology pictursave explained that each creature has an important place in the lecturer world.”

“The biology sizer explained that each butcher has an important place in the natural world.”

“The seizure lessons were held in a lovely natural park.”

“It is a great lecturer to sit on a natural seat….”

 “The biology preacher……”

“Jacob fell off his bike, due to a creature in his tire, and suffered a fraction to his right arm”

Such inspiring words kids. <insert eye-roll>>

Cool youtube videos.....

Some of the boys in Math I introduced these guys to me.  They are called 'Dude, perfect', and they make some crazy basketball, football, and frisbee shots.

Michaela showed me this funny video of a mom telling her kids that she ate all their Halloween candy.

Math Resiliency......

Critical Thinker.............

I was very impressed with how well the kids did on this one.  Every student but two had the right answer.

My Weekend............

Saturday I took Brooklyn and Cooper to the library and the mall.  Later that day I coached Tristan's bball team (no pictures because I was coaching).

Sunday, the kids got their pictures professionally done. Later, I took Tristan to the OSU basketball game and then geocaching.

"Listen chief, I gotta thing for trains, ya' dig? So, it's gonna be in your best interest to just put that train down and walk away.....Ehhhh, I dunno, go grab a book or sumpin....."

"LISTEN GUY!! I'll look you right in the eye and poop my pants like its nuttin!! Like it's NUTTIN!!  What makes you think I won't get to that train you got there?"

"That's it!! Where are my magnets?  Oh, here they are...Now I'm I'm gonna teach 'Thomas the Train' over here a little lesson..."
